Trichocereus bridgesii
T. bridgesii sometimes called Echinopsis lageniformis. Long spined slender blue columns make up these Bolivian plants. We love T. bridgesii especially for the dangerously long spines. There’s just something about looking at stand of yellow needles coming out of these notchy blue columns. The different profiles differentiate their shape also. Their growth seems to initiate offsetting fairly early so thats why so many stands are so wide and have so any tips growing from every which way. Something well known of bridgesii is their rib shifting and then sometimes spineless appearance. The melted wax forms are some of everyones favorites and gives another reason why we collect them.
