scopulicola
T. scopulicola. Why do we care so much about growing this big fat supposed Bolivian green column? Isn’t just like a pachanoi? I think theres a presence to their size and heft. The profile of the tip is something interesting to many of us. The ever indented spination that almost makes it look like its spineless. Getting to the place of maturity with gorgeous flowers in the evening is such a reward. The big separation of ribs gives more green epidermis to look at. More leathery skin to rub like sandpaper. When there are notches above the areole that give it a bubbly profile it’s game over. It’s got me won. I know I know, it looks the same. But grow a few clones, or grow some from seed and you’ll see the difference.
